报告人简介：
Dr Barend van Maanen is an Assistant Professor in Coastal Geomorphology, Department of Physical Geography, Faculty of Geosciences, Utrecht University, Netherlands. He did his PhD in University of Waikato, New Zealand. Then, he subsequently worked at University of Bordeaux, France and University of Southampton, UK as a research fellow. His research is mainly focused on Eco-Morphodynamics of tidal environments and climate change, using numerical modeling and field work etc.. He has published more than 10 research articles in leading peer-reviewed journals, such as Nature Climate Change, Marine Geology and Geomorphology. He is currently involved in several large EU projects, such as iCOASST and ESTUARIES.
